In Patna, a BJP leader has received death threats, after which he has applied to the Kotwali police station requesting to take appropriate action against the accused and to protect his life and property. The applicant is Danish Iqbal, media in-charge of BJP. He told ‘Amar Ujala’ that the day before yesterday I had an interview on a channel on the issue of Ram Temple. During the interview, I expressed my views according to the questions. The same day a call came at night. The caller had probably called after giving an interview. He said why did you say this about Babar and Aurangzeb during the interview. BJP leader Danish Iqbal said that the caller said in a threatening tone that you should not say like this. Danish Iqbal alleged that the person calling said that you are becoming a leader? You are doing this, you are doing that. After this, I filed an application at the Kotwali police station and informed the police about this matter.
Know what the accused said
On calling the number (9818706996) from which the threat was given in the application given in the Kotwali police station, the person introduced himself to ‘Amar Ujala’ as Syed Larai Bakram, President of Bihar Swabhiman Manch. On the question of being threatened, Syed Larai Bakram said that Danish is the leader of Iqbal Political Party. Everyone is fond of leadership, so let them also do leadership. We have not abused anyone. I talked to him several times and in this conversation he spoke angrily to me. Some video came in reference to which I talked to him. During the conversation, we told him that it is okay, Ram temple is being constructed, those who have devotion in their heart must go to Ayodhya, carry the urn on their head, everyone should go but my point is that no one should abuse Babar or Aurangzeb. There has been triple talaq, five talaq, what is all this? Syed Larai Bakram said why are you misleading the society. That’s it. Due to this he got angry and asked me who will do what. I am educated and related to journalism, why would I threaten anyone? We have not given any threat to anyone.
what does the police say
In this matter, Kotwali police station incharge Sanjeet Kumar said that an application has been given, in which there has been squabbles from both the sides. Has not commented on any type of religion. Both of them spoke with respect, every religion should be respected. Do not comment on any particular religion. Danish ji may have said something on Babar, hence it has been said that no matter which religion you respect, do not say anything objectionable towards any particular religion. There was a squabble between the two on just this issue. FIR has not been filed yet, the matter is under investigation.
